Geodesic Management Presents
In a brand new educational show the creators of
ArcAttack unveil the science behind the spectacle. Combining their love of music along with exploring concepts such as electricity, voltage and current, magnetism, robotics, lightning, and tackling complexissues like engineering, the crew of
ArcAttack makes these concepts accessible for school audiences.
The audience is engaged from start to finish as the groups trusty, completely automated robot drummer King Beat introduces the audience to the group. Students are taken through a journey of scientific discovery as they learn about basic electricity and how to
light a light bulb, have a “hair raising” experience with their customized Voltage Multiplier (Van de Graaff generator), learn how to build and use a ring launcher and of course learn the science behind their signature Tesla Coils, and bring students on
stage for a dance off in their special Faraday Cage!
Along the way students will be amazed as they see the
ArcAttack crew literally walk through lightening then learn how it’s possible, and see where the future of science is headed. Maybe they’ll have as much fun as the
ArcAttack crew has but either way, enjoy the show, and maybe, just maybe, be inspired to help to leave the world a little better than the way you found it.

Corbian & Lightwire Theatre Presents:
Light Wire Theater and Corbian Visual Arts and Dance bring new life to a pair of classic tales, Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Ugly Duckling” and Aesop’s fable, “The Tortoise and The Hare.” Lined with electroluminescent wire, these well-known characters continue the Corbian tradition as they illuminate the darkened stage and wend their way into audiences’ hearts.
THE UGLY DUCKLING
Of the five eggs in Mother Duck’s nest, oneis the largest and last to hatch. Bigger and paler than the others, this last hatchling is treated as an outsider by Mother Duck and her ducklings. He may be the best swimmer of the brood, but this alone is not enough
to ensure his acceptance. Knowing only rejection, this Ugly Duckling goes out into the wild alone. Reflecting upon his plight under the glow of a remote willow tree, he sees a wily cat creeping in the direction of Mother Duck’s nest. The Ugly Duckling follows and watches as one lagging duckling is captured and taken back to the cat’s lair. In true heroic fashion, this Ugly Duckling succeeds in vanquishing the cat and rescuing the captured duckling. Celebrated by Mother Duck and her ducklings for his uniqueness, all realize that he may have been an ugly duckling, but he has grown into a beautiful and powerful swan.
THE TORTOISE AND THE HARE
Ridiculed by the Hare, the Tortoise challenges him to a race. They set off and the Hare takes a commanding lead right away. Thinking he will win easily, the Hare allows himself to be distracted with many modern day activities; texting, video games and the paparazzi, of course. The Tortoise continues to trudge along at his methodical pace and, despite the fact that the Hare is a swifter creature, wins the race due to his discipline and fortitude.
