For more than four decades, the legendary Swiss mask-theatre troupe MUMMENSCHANZ has captivated audiences worldwide with its groundbreaking non-verbal theatre.  In the surreal, wordless universe of MUMMENSCHANZ, the troupe creates a playful and uniquely memorable experience through inventive use of forms, shadow and light.  Everyday objects such as toilet paper, wires, tubes and boxes spring to life to become whimsical characters and abstract silhouettes.  Ordinary shapes interact in surprising ways - creative manipulations of sculptural and expressive masks emphasize the truth about human connections and relationships.

In celebration of their 40th anniversary, MUMMENSHANZ is touring the U.S. for the first time since 2003 with a program that highlights their most beloved acts from the past four decades.  The result is a visually stunning spectacle of family entertainment that both sparks the imagination and transcends cultural barriers.

"The essential method to MUMMENSCHANZ's witty madness is based on transformations. Things are seldom what they seem: that is the clue to all its dazzling and delightful parables" -The New York Times
