You work hard for your art, now make it work for you!

Are you into creating or performing music, visual arts, dance, or writing? Three teams will take home up to $1,500 cash for their next project in a one-day experience by participating in ARTup Bootcamp.

We’re looking for students with artistic ideas for a one-day ARTup Boot Camp. You’ll learn how to take any idea from concept to creation within a couple of hours!

This program is open to all undergraduate and graduate students from any academic discipline.

Candidates will be accepted on a rolling basis beginning Monday, September 18, 2023.

ARTup Boot Camp is presented by the University at Buffalo's Blackstone LaunchPad. Blackstone LaunchPad is a campus-based entrepreneurship program designed to introduce entrepreneurship as a viable career path.

We are hosting ARTup Boot Camp at UB’s North Campus Center for the Arts in the Black Box Theatre on September 30th, 2023.

Program Dates: Saturday, September 30th, 2023

  • Get firsthand experience selling your product and get one-on-one advice from our mentor community.
  • Identify the gaps between your idea and a sustainable business – do you have a working product? If not, prioritize those gaps and form them into a coherent ask for help.
  • Meet key stakeholders in the UB and WNY startup ecosystem who can help you cross those gaps.
  • Leave knowing how to validate the next step in your own business.

Prize Award:

  • You will need either a Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number in order to collect any prize money. 
  • The prize awards will be paid to the student entrepreneur(s) in recognition of their achievements in preparing for and participating in the pitch competition. Where a student startup is represented by more than one student entrepreneur, the prize award will be divided among the student entrepreneurs. Prize awards may be subject to U.S. federal tax withholding. Prizes may not be transfered.
