Buffalo, NY - The Center for the Arts, University at Buffalo presents Diana Krall on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 7:30pm in the Mainstage Theatre, located at the Center for the Arts, North Campus.  The concert is sponsored in part by Towne BMW and Brompton Heights, Inc.

A jazz pianist with an instantly identifiable voice and broad crossover appeal, Diana Krall has been making critically-acclaimed music for almost two decades.  Her 1999 album When I Look in Your Eyes earned her a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal and became the first jazz album to be nominated for "Album of the Year" in twenty-five years. Characterized by high musical standards and consistent commercial success, Krall's subsequent recordings have only served to increase her popularity with an international audience.

She has sold more than 6 million albums in the US and over 15 million worldwide and is the only jazz singer to have eight albums debuting at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums.  To date, she has won two Grammy Awards and eight Juno Awards. Krall is touring in support of her latest album, Glad Rag Doll.

AboutDiana Krall, The New York Times has said, "Throughout the concert, Ms. Krall displayed a new improvisatory audacity, stretching her dark, whispery voice toward a blues shout, dredging up expressive growls, bending notes and, as always, swinging like a gymnast from phrase to phrase."

Tickets for Diana Krall are $77.00, $67.00. Tickets are available at the Center Box Office (Mon-Fri 10 am-6 pm) and tickets.com.  To charge tickets call 1-888-223-6000.  For more information call 716-645-2787 or visit www.ubcfa.org.
