August, 2010
Summer Intensive training program, open to registration for anyone interested in beginning or enhancing an Arts in Healthcare practice, and for those selected to become artists in residence in the Buffalo partner hospitals. The training is conducted by faculty from the University of Florida's CAHRE program, directed by one of the leaders in the field, Jill Sonke-Henderson.


August 4-17, 2008
Intensive training program for the twelve local artists who have been selected through an intensive search to become artists in residence in each of the partner hospitals. The training will be conducted by faculty from the University of Florida's CAHRE program, directed by one of the leaders in the field, Jill Sonke-Henderson 

September 8, 2008
Artists-in-residence will begin work in the hospitals. 

October 24, 2008 - Launch Celebration 
Center for the Arts held a celebration to launch the new Arts in Healthcare Initiative hosted by UB President John B. Simpson, Center for the Arts Executive Director Thomas Burrows, Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo President Cheryl Klass, and Roswell Park Cancer Institute Medical Director Judy Smith. The event was sponsored by Bank of America. 

Fall 2008-Spring 2009
Selected international touring artists from the Center's season will provide demonstrations or abbreviated performances in the hospitals.
