Natalie Dilenno analyzes and psychoanalyzes the photographic image, investigating how photography renders an experience or human body as an object, and allows interaction with this object. Fascinated by ways photographic images can evoke an experience with the sublime, she searches for locations and compositions that bring about a similar experience. Danielle’s work often visually and conceptually addresses the idea of the pair, abstractly externalizing her personal history as someone who has gone through life with an identical sister, and explores the notion of encountering the “double”.

Natalie graduated with her Masters in Fine Arts from the University at Buffalo in 2017, and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Florida in 2014.  She moved to Buffalo to continue her studies in art and theory.
