Watch How Art Gets Made

The UB Center for the Arts is the university’s arts hub, where UB students and WNY residents come for inspiration, entertainment and community. For over twenty-five years, we’ve been the place at UB where art gets made—and we believe the process is just as fascinating as the final presentation.

How Art Gets Made is a video series highlighting the artists and art made here at the UBCFA. Subscribe to the UBCFA YouTube channel and follow us on social media each week as we guide you into the UBCFA’s art-making spaces and pull back the curtain on how artworks and performances are conceived, crafted, and presented.

The students of Art 307 Thematic Drawing got to leave their mark on the CFA this spring! See the inspiration behind the mural pieces and what it is like to watch the Center come to life with students’ artwork

Behind the Scenes

Behind the Scenes videos guide us into the CFA’s studios, classrooms and workshops, offering fascinating behind-the-scenes footage of art being made.

In October 2022, the UBCFA opened its doors to the UB and WNY community for the annual ART IN THE OPEN event showcasing UB Artists across all arts disciplines! Hundreds of people came to see the arts in action and get a behind-the-scenes experience of art being made.
